Phenomenal performance from Leinster. Scarlets are a decent side and they had absolutely no response. Leinster are the real deal alright.
Genuinely feel for @scarlets_rugby and their supporters today, that result doesn't reflect on their season so far. Leinster just dominated today. #LEIvSCA— Rachael OBrien (@rachaelkeogh) April 21, 2018
Another reigning champion DEMOLISHED!
All credit to Scarlets, because their form up to now has been good, but our starters & finishers in blue just stepped it up to another level 🤩
Leinster on a mission. They think they should have won it last year.— Hugh Godwin (@hughgodwin_) April 21, 2018
A superb TEAM effort. I haven't seen such a complete display since the 2nd half comeback against Saints in the Heineken Cup Final. Fardy well deserved MOTM but great displays from Henshaw, Sexton, McFadden & tbf JGP played well 😎😉
JUST FREAKEN AWESOME 😎

The lads shut down the Scarlets early doors and that just put the bullet in them. They strangled them throughout, took any ideas away from them and squeezed until it was over

We say it every week but
WHEN YOU COME AT THE KINGS, BEST NOT MISS!
Leinster the most impressively dominant #championscup semi-finalists since Saracens v Clermont in 2014. After which Sarries went on to lose the final....— robert kitson (@robkitson) April 21, 2018
Utterly brilliant. Great composure in both attack and defense with few players still missing. Scarlets looked slightly shaken by a pace and intensity of Leinster game and as against the Saracens the game was over after first twenty minutes of the second half. Bring on Bilbao.
Apart from the first 5 mins or so Scarlets brought nothing to the party @leinsterrugby in cruise control. Congrats #fuelthe4th— ger (@stranglemint) April 21, 2018
Got the scarlets on the floor with the foot on the throat and never let them up. Fantastic performance against a top team.
Leinster have looked convincing all season but I'm relieved and delighted to see them back in a European final @ChampionsCup #LEIvSCA #ChampionsCup— Katie Dawson (@katiedawson23) April 21, 2018
No player too big for this Leinster side. This is the way rugby is meant to be played.
A game plan and a ruthless demolition job... https://t.co/RJBy60pSH1— GJPowell (@TheVietGwent) April 21, 2018
Well done to Leinster outplayed Scarlets in every department good luck in the final the journey was good while it lasted 👍

YESSSSSS! We march on Bilbao. COME ON YOU BOYS IN BLUE! #LEIvSCA #ChampionsCup #COYBIB— Del McG (@DelMcG) April 21, 2018
I have no thoughts or words😂😂See you all in Bilbao 😂
Well done Leinster. Seriously impressive #LEIvSCA— Three Red Kings (@threeredkings) April 21, 2018
I said a few weeks back Leinster needed to keep the penalty count down to keep scarlets out of the game, and sure enough, that's exactly what they did. Abd they then proceeded to be clinical and effective all over the park to polish off a quality side. Bilbao holds no fear for this squad
Wow how good were @leinsterrugby today ..... European final here we come.... join us for the party. 💙💙💙💙🍺🍺🍺🍺— The Bridge 1859 (@TheBridge1859) April 21, 2018
On route we have beaten leading Teams from the top14, the premiership champions, the holders of the European rugby cup, current champions of the pro14 and Leinster players are talking about finding another gear. It's set to be some final.
Let's hope it's Munster and finish out the club season with total Irish rugby dominance in Europe.
I was praying for this but I wasn’t expecting it. This has been all about attitude by our boys. In a word, this has been an emasculation of the @scarlets_rugby Absolutely brilliant @leinsterrugby #COYBIB Thank you. Smashed them. When we get in the 22 we turn the screw like we did under Joe. 4th star awaits us
Name a better inside centre in the world better than Henshaw?? What a performance today!! #LEIvSCA— Kieran Guilfoyle (@Kieran_Gilly) April 21, 2018
Different level fair play. Men v boys.
Still struggling to see what was less neutral the venue or the ref?! Still a massive achievement for the @scarlets_rugby to reach the semis and compete with the clubs at the top table of European rugby with the budget they have! #YmaOHyd #ynypac #ChampionsCup #LEIvSCA #scarlets— jonathan williams (@johnnyfach_90) April 21, 2018
JGP put all my pre match concerns about him completely to bed, he had the best game in a blue shirt that I’ve seen. Meanwhile the Mean Machine rolls on.
Poor result today. But positive that Pivac has identified our lack of ball carriers. Thomson & Cassiem should rectify that. We are evolving in the right direction #Ymlaen #LEIvSCA— Gareth Owain (@ga_twin1) April 21, 2018
Pack immense again. Scarlets couldn't live with our level of intensity. Ryan & Henshaw huge performances. FOUR STARS??💙💪 Hopefully Munster will have watched that & got even more motivation to win tomorrow
Not @Munsterrugby or @racing92 will stop @leinsterrugby if they continue to play as they did today... #ChampionsCup #LEIvSCA #Munster— Rugby&Stuff (@stuff_rugby) April 21, 2018
Bullied them up front. Set pieces were solid, breakdown was owned (against some of the best breakdown operaters going) and we just about won the collisions. All of that only leads to one result.
Gutted. Such a same we didn't perform today. Don't like losing but sometimes you are just beaten by the better team. Leinster superb. Some perspective needed... We've come a long way in recent years. Some great European performances this season #scarlets #LEIvSCA #ChampionsCup— Jonathan Davies (@jmd1004) April 21, 2018
Nearly disappointed that scarlets never showed up. Scoreline looks so good though. May the better team win tomorrow so we can roll them over too!

Good to chat with some incredibly friendly - and positive - @scarlets_rugby fans after #LEIvSCA today. See you guys in the #Pro14! pic.twitter.com/KpWjpahwjs— Alastair McDermott (@AMcDermott) April 21, 2018
Only Furlong in the pack started last year's pro 12 semi-final which we lost, and also started today, forwards win matches, our pack are miles ahead of everyone else at the moment. Backs are quite handy too!
Really disappointing result today for @scarlets_rugby but they can hold their heads up high after a tremendous campaign. An exceptional achievement to get to the Semis on the budget they have. Da iawn bois!— Hefin Jones (@hefrhys) April 22, 2018
Won all the head to head battles throughout the match ,dominated all aspects over the 80 mins
We won today and as soon as I got home I found all my clothes were dry on the line, it just doesn't get better than this #LeinsterRugby— rob&dave kearney (@boringkearney) April 21, 2018
As close to a perfect game of rugby you can get. Clinical & ruthless.
What a day.First the @leinsterrugby ‘A’ team come back from 27-8 down to win 27-29 then the ‘big boys’ put Scarlets to to sword and finally @UlsterRugby get the bonus point win to put a real gloss on the day
— Miriam Collins (@MiriamCol) April 21, 2018
Impressive was the not just the ball retention and support for the carrier, but particularly the passing and offloading amongst the forwards. Total rugby was on display today. Here's to a similar performance in Bilbao!!!!

This was not about where the match was played rather how Leinster played. Scarlets poor though we mostly made them so. 8th match in a row we've been brilliantly prepared for Europe. Now come on Munster make it an All-Ireland Bilbao bonanza! #LEIvSCA #COYBIB #ChampionsCup— Harpin' On Rugby 🏉 (@HarpinOnRugby) April 21, 2018
Many thanks to all who offered opinions.
