Great grit and determination in that fight back, but less positive about getting into that position in the first place. There will need to be some serious mental preparation done for the France match. That said, if they can get the heads straight they're more than capable.

Cian Ó Muilleoir

Fair play to the girls in coming back from 0 - 14 down in the second half to register a 24 - 14 win took a lot of guts. Also they were a yellow card down when they started the revival. For the France game they have work to do to get into the right frame , both mentally & physically.

Gerald Williamson

Great second half, need that effort for 80mins in next game

John McKenna

Underestimated Japan and could have paid the price. Great comeback in the 2nd half mostly led by the substitutions but I thought Cronin played very well on her debut even securing a turnover

Bert McLoughlin

I didn't get to see the game, but judging by our 1st half struggle , coupled with total French domination against Australia, it's difficult to see how we can up the Anti enough to beat France, but we live in hope that we can pull another rabbit out of the hat , like we did with The Ferns in Paris 3 years ago!

Mike Reidy

Fantastic fight back to win the game. The route 1 attacks off the base of the ruck were amazing and the winning of the game. The scrums in the first half and the line outs in the third quarter were a disaster. Need to step up from this. Nora Stapleton's place kicking under pressure was mega!!!

Riocard Ó Tiarnaigh

Great guts shown by the girls in green in the second half but hats off to Japan for their performance too.

Paul Smith

Many thanks to all who offered opinions.
