Canterbury Unveil Bold New Leinster Alternate Jersey

from Canterbury

Canterbury has revealed the new Leinster alternate jersey for the 2016/17 season. Now available to pre-order from and, the new alternate jersey is the boldest, brightest and most striking Leinster jersey ever produced.

The jersey will be worn for the first time on August 26th when Leinster take on Bath in a pre season friendly in Donnybrook Stadium.

In a truly alternate launch of the jersey, Canterbury partnered with award winning photorealistic artist, Barry “Jazz” Finnegan, to create a charcoal masterpiece of Canterbury ambassador Robbie Henshaw incorporating colour in his artwork for the first time ever in his career.

With an unwavering commitment to creating a kit that performs as well as it looks, Canterbury’s innovation team, The Canterbury Lab, worked closely with members of the Leinster Rugby management team to develop their most technologically advanced jersey to date. The bold new colour encapsulates a history of success with a forward thinking and modern club.

Engineered for rugby fanatics the remastered classic features technologies including VapoDri that allows you perform at your best in all weather conditions. Built in flat seams provide incredible comfort with improved burst strength, and combined with a high stretch power loop collar to provide Leinster players with unrivalled comfort and functionality. 3D body mapping is used to target ventilation to the required areas regulating body temperature where you need it most.

Speaking about the new alternate jersey, Leinster’s newest recruit and Canterbury ambassador, Robbie Henshaw said;

“It’s important to know that underneath a great looking jersey is a solid foundation of effective technology and Canterbury has delivered just that with this new jersey. That knowledge allows us to perform to the best of our ability on the field.”

The new Leinster alternate jersey is available to pre-order from, and, and is available in store across Ireland from August 26th.
