Post to Post
Post to Post is back on air this Wednesday and as always (or as sometimes at least) we want to hear from you. Opinions, questions, complaints, send them all in to us for our show tomorrow at 11:30 on MarsFM.ie.
Just in general, Connacht, what an incredible story its been. A hearty defensive display showed us all they are champs in the making, with a home-semi well within reach, how far can they go? They are the only side in the hunt for the playoffs who are still in European competition, will they be able to handle the strain on their squad?
2 losses in a row for Leinster have cast some doubt over their play off spot, they remain second but are very catchable considering their tough run in. A belter from Stuart Hogg denied Ulster a losing bonus point and saw Glasgow well within reach of a retaining their title. Scarlets have been there all season, will they ensure a Welsh team in the semi-finals?
It’s not just the top 4, but really the top 6. Will we have all four provinces in the European Rugby Champions Cup next Season? Or can Edinburgh force a qualifier on Munster or Ulster.
A Few Warmer Away Days
The Aviva Premiership and Top 14 have all the money, we all know this. But will Leinster really be playing Super league rugby? It seemed unlikely until recent rumblings came out. Would it work, good idea? Is there really any other way Pro12 teams can compete with the Aviva and the Top 14? And wouldn’t it be good to have young players playing against players at the top level from an early age? With talks of a kind of super cup between the European and Southern Hemisphere Champions, this might not be so farfetched.
Is he the man to make Italy into a consistently decent Six Nations team. Another poor season and the calls for relegation have increased. Is Conor the man for the job?
And anything else ye want to talk about, let us know and tune in tomorrow at the earlier time of 11:30 on MarsFM.ie
